Have you ever noticed how cats seem to know when it’s 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning? It’s pretty common for them to be up at those hours. Cats normally sleep a lot of the day and then, they’ll be up at night especially if they’re young cats because they haven’t really adjusted to a human schedule which for them, is pretty boring. If you have a young cat who, instead of sleeping at night is sleeping during the day like this little monkey then, you’re gonna wanna have a plan or you’re not going to get very much sleep.
The first thing to think about is how you can keep your cat awake when your cat wants to sleep. Thankfully, there are many different puzzle toys and games you can play with your cat. If you normally sleep during the night time hours then, play with your cat in the evening. In addition, you may want to set up multiple short play sessions so that your cat is very busy both with his mind and with his body.
If you go to bed at night and you find that your cat is very rambunctious, you may also find that sprinkling some treats in little hidden areas round the apartment away from your bedroom will keep the cat occupied and, because now he’s full, you may find that he goes to sleep more easily. If you have a cat that’s egging you awake in the morning at 6:00 am, the 5:45 and then, 5:30, you may just have a cat that’s getting hungry in the morning and waking you up to feed him.
If that’s the case, get yourself an automated food dispenser.
This way you can set the food to come available at any specific time and it won’t be related to you because when you are related to the food administration, the cats know very quickly that you have to be awake for breakfast to happen however, if they know that a machine dispenses the food, they may be more likely to haunt the machine than you at 5:00 in the morning. Those are some ways to keep your cat from causing trouble in the middle of the night.
