Meet Rachel, Piper and Pearl
Rachel is a freelance journalist based out of Cape May, New Jersey. Rachel decided to make polymer clay jewelry to cope with the anxiety and stress of the pandemic. Once she started, she was hooked. Rachel named her company after two of her rescue cats, Piper and Pearl.
Cape May has been “home” to Rachel all her life, even though she grew up in Virginia. Annual family vacations at the shore weren’t enough, so she moved there permanently after graduation. The beauty of the Jersey shore provides the inspiration for many of her designs, as do cats. Rachel grew up with cats and her entire family is involved in cat rescue. Sadly, her current apartment does not allow cats, but she gets her feline fix on frequent visits to her parents’ home in Virginia.
Rachel can create custom earrings based on your cat’s coloring.
Sadly, Rachel and her family had to say good-bye to 16-year-old Pearl last week. Rachel made a pair of custom earrings for herself and her mom to honor Pearl, and she will donate 10% of all proceeds from custom orders received this month to Animal Outreach of Cape May Count.in Pearl’s memory.
